Overview

In this guide, we’ll walk through the basics of getting started with External Data Import. Remesh is an an AI-powered insights platform helping the world's most innovative brands unlock rich, scalable insights in record time and External Data Import allows you to leverage our state of the art analysis tools with your external data. External Data Import is a great option if you are looking to analyze data using Remesh's suite of analysis tools, merge with Remesh Conversation data or continue gathering data within Remesh.

Logging In

You can log in to the platform here. We recommend bookmarking this link so you can easily come back to it!

If you have not yet received an email invitation to create your Remesh account, please reach out to your Workspace Administrator for access. If your organization does not yet have Remesh access, please get in touch!

Gathering Your Data

You can import Qualtrics or Custom survey data into the platform. If you are uploading Qualtrics data you will need to download a QSF with the discussion guide information and a CSV with the response data. You can find step by step instructions for finding and downloading these files here.

If you are importing Custom data, you will need to complete this template, which can also be downloaded in the platform.

Best Practices:

  • We recommend reviewing this step by step guide, which provides screenshots and additional details to help ensure your files are correctly programmed before importing.
  • Open end responses are limited to 500 characters, so please note that any responses beyond 500 characters will be truncated.

Importing Your Data

Once you’ve gathered the necessary files, navigate to the platform and click the blue plus sign at the top right and select “External Data Import” then select the type of upload. You will then be prompted to select your file and import!

Best Practices:

  • If you receive an error upon uploading, please reference this document for additional details regarding file structure.
  • You can also upload Segments which would pre-load your Conversation with audience segments for analysis.

Post Conversation Analysis

Once your import has finished, you will immediately have access to a variety of Analysis tools. Before digging into analysis, we recommend taking a look through our Analysis Tools Overview. Below are a few we recommend getting started with.

Next Steps

Now that you’re data is imported into the platform, you can merge this data with your existing Remesh data or collect new data via Live or Flex and merge with your imported data!

  • How do I sign up for a Remesh account?
    To gain access to a Remesh account, you will need to be invited by an existing Workspace Administrator. Please reach out to your Workspace Administrator to receive an invitation to create your account. If your organization does not yet have Remesh access, please get in touch!
