Generative AI (LLM) Permission Settings

 

Overview

Our Generative AI features include some of our most time-saving elements of Remesh. We utilize OpenAIs technology to help power these. In order to utilize these features, a Workspace Administrator needs to enable them for your workspace and team. Read on to learn more about how to enable these features and begin incorporating them into your workflow.

Enabling Generative AI Features for your Workspace

You can access information and settings related to Generative AI by navigating to Manage Workspace → Settings → Generative AI

You’ll only have access to this page if you are a Workspace Administrator

From this Generative AI page, you can:

  • Read about Remesh’s use of Generative AI
  • Toggle the switch to Enable Generative AI Features for this Workspace. Make sure to select which Teams you would like to have access, even if it’s all Teams.

Adjusting Team Generative AI Settings

Once you have enabled Generative AI for your Workspace, you can customize which Teams have access in a few ways.

From Generative AI Settings

  • Navigate to Manage Workspace → Settings → Generative AI 
  • Make sure the toggle switch is on to enable Generative AI features, then click the “Edit” link
  • Select or deselect Teams from the list to give or revoke Generative AI access
  • Click the Save button to apply your change 

To choose whether or not new Teams will have access to Generative AI features by default, simply toggle the switch.

From the Teams Space

  • Navigate to Manage Workspace → Teams
  • Click the three dots to the right of the Team yo would like to edit settings for, then click Manage Team.
  • You will then see a toggle to turn on and off Generative AI settings for that team.

  • What level of control do I have over who can use features that leverage Generative AI on my Remesh workspace?
    As a Workspace Admin, you can choose to enable Generative AI features for your entire Workspace, or provide team-level access for more tailored control
  • Does enabling Generative AI features allow OpenAI to store Conversation data?No. Data is processed by OpenAI as part of certain features that leverage Generative AI, but that data is not retained or used any further by OpenAI.
  • Where can I find more information about OpenAI?
    You can learn more about OpenAI on their website and by reading their Privacy Policy.
  • Does enabling Generative AI features allow OpenAI to use my data to train their LLM?
    No. Data is processed by OpenAI as part of certain features that leverage Generative AI, but that data is not retained or used any further by OpenAI.
  • What is the difference between enabling Generative AI features on Remesh and inputting my Remesh data into ChatGPT?
    Depending on the privacy settings you have enabled with ChatGPT, when you put your Remesh data into ChatGPT, then OpenAI may retain and store that data for further training of their own LLMs.
    The Generative AI features on Remesh use OpenAI to process information, but that information is not stored by OpenAI.
  • Some of my stakeholders or clients don't allow Generative AI use, can I still use these features?
    Potentially, yes. You can set up different Teams in your Remesh Workspace and then enable/disable Generative AI features accordingly in order to comply with individual client needs.
