Gather anonymous feedback and questions from employees during a meeting.

The Problem

I need a way to quickly gather employees’ feedback during a meeting so I can address their questions and increase transparency.

The Plan

Conduct a brief Live Conversation during your meeting, then return to a real-time discussion to respond to employees. Remesh Live is a dynamic and interesting way for employees to share their thoughts, while increasing transparency and trust between leadership and employees through our unique voting exercises.

Prepare Participants

Remesh is a dynamic tool that does not feel like a typical survey, so it may be helpful to provide context and instructions to employees regarding the Remesh experience in the calendar invitation. TIP: You may also want to review our Employee Research Best Practices.

Create a Day of Plan

Whether gathering employees in person, virtually, or hybrid we recommend outlining a plan ahead of the session.

  • Designate a speaker and/or moderator. This can be the same person, or two different people. The speaker will be the person who will speaking with the employees through the meeting and the moderator will be tasked with sending questions and monitoring the Remesh Conversation.
  • Outline your agenda. Plan how much time you want to spend on the Remesh Conversation and other aspects of your meeting. This will help you plan out how many questions you’ll have time to ask your audience.

Remesh operates a lot like a texting conversation and often times there will be some periods of silence. We recommend having a playlist ready to share during the Remesh Conversation to keep things lively!

Ask Impactful Questions

You can ask any combination of our question types, but we particularly recommend our Ask Opinion question. This question will prompt participants to respond to the question you programmed in their own words then anonymously vote on each other’s responses. That voting data will then be used to bring out the responses that are most representative of the group while maintaining anonymity. We’re all about democratizing employees voices, meaning that whether you’re a wallflower or a social butterfly, your voice will have equal weight in a Remesh Conversation. Some examples of Ask Opinion questions you can ask are…

  • What feedback do you have regarding our presentation?
  • What is the number one barrier you’re currently experiencing at work?
  • What questions do you have for leadership?

Our “Town Hall” template is a great place to start as well!

Conduct a Practice Session

Conduct a practice session using our simulation tool, which allows the moderator practice with their discussion guide by engaging with simulated responses.

You’ll also want to run through any outside tech you’ll be using such as conference software to ensure everything is ready to go. Check out our technology considerations as well!

Host Meeting

  • Cover any relevant content outlined in your agenda.
  • Share a bit of context about Remesh such as the following:
    • We’re now going to segue into a way for you to share your feedback and questions with leadership. In a moment, I’ll be sharing a link to a feedback collection tool called Remesh. You can access this link on a phone, tablet or computer that has a stable internet connection and an updated browser. The Remesh experience will be a lot like a texting conversation, where we will send you questions and you will respond to the questions by typing out your response or selecting your response from a list. We will not be able to see or hear you through Remesh, so expect some periods of silence! You’ll also have the opportunity to anonymously vote on your colleagues responses, which will provide feedback to Remesh and allow the most highly agreed upon responses to come to the top. Keep in mind, the feedback you share will be completely anonymous, so please be honest.
  • Send employees the participant link and moderate the Conversation.
  • Once your Remesh Conversation is completed, come back together as a group. The moderator and anyone accessing the Remesh Conversation will immediately have access to participants’ responses. You can then choose which questions or comments you’d like to respond to and respond in the moment.

We recommend that your questions and comments are collected in an Ask Opinion question, and that you use Percent Agree to quickly respond to the most highly agreed upon responses.
