Technology Considerations and Supported Browsers

This article is relevant to our Live, Flex and Video Conversations. You can find more information about our product offerings here.

Overview

Use the following resources to help ensure easy access to the Remesh platform. Remesh can be accessed as a participant on any phone, tablet or computer with access to the internet and a browser. We recommend moderators and observers access from a laptop or computer.

Before Your Conversation

If you or your participants intend to access the Remesh conversation via a work device, we recommend working through the following technology considerations with an IT professional at your organization ahead of the Conversation.

  • Permit this URL: https://live.remesh.chat/* - please note that the link includes the asterisk
  • Try the Remesh test link to ensure there are no additional IT concerns to address: https://live.remesh.chat/help/test
  • Ensure everyone can access port 443 and the https and wss protocols
  • Run a test session on the network (ideally in each location/office if the networks are likely to be different) and have participants respond to one of each question type.

Video Interviews

  • Audio/Video is required. You’ll share your responses verbally your microphone and camera will be used. You may want to test your video and audio ahead of the scheduled time.
  • Plan to participate on camera, and in a quiet location. Because this will be a live video conversation, a working microphone and camera are essential.
  • Headphones or earbuds are recommended for the best audio.

Supported Browsers

Remesh supports the latest versions of the following browsers. If you're experiencing any delays in the platform, please be sure to download the latest browser version for optimal display and feature functions. Please note that Remesh does not support any browser that is not listed below.

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari
  • Mozilla Firefox

Troubleshooting

  • Use Google Chrome to access the session if possible. If not, use Firefox, Safari, or Edge. Note that Remesh does not explicitly support any browsers not listed here.

  • Try to use the newest version of these browsers to ensure the best experience.

  • If utilizing a computer or laptop, using a wired connection instead of wifi can sometimes help with connectivity issues.

  • If accessing a participant link via mobile device and experiencing connectivity issues, try switching your connection to data rather than wifi, if available.

  • If you are accessing via a work device, it is possible that Remesh could be blocked by their employer's network. We recommend logging off of VPN or join on your phone.

  • If you are conducting or participating in a Video Interview and your camera or microphone did not connect, refresh your page or click the back button and rejoin the Video Interview.
