Get a clear understanding of how participants feel about a concept to help refine it.

The Problem

I have a concept that I would like to get feedback on, but I need to make sure that I clearly understand not just how my audience is feeling about it but why so I can continue to iterate on the concept.

The Plan

Conduct a Live Conversation with consumers with quantitative questions asking for specific measurements of how they feel about the concept, as well as room to ask follow up questions in the moment to get a clearer picture of why and what your next steps should be.

Prepare your Concepts

Create a clear and detailed description of the concept along with any associated materials. This may include concept descriptions, images, mockups or prototypes. Remesh can support JPEG, PNG, GIF, MP4 and a 100MB maximum. Even if you are just presenting text to your participants, it can be helpful to create an image with that text, just to differentiate it from other text in your Remesh Conversation and make it more visually interesting. Plan Your Discussion Guide

Remesh offers a variety of question types, but you’ll want to ask primarily a combination of Polls and Ask Opinion/Branch questions for this discussion guide. Polls will provide a more quantifiable number of individuals who liked a given concept and how much, whereas Ask Opinion/Branch questions will allow you to quickly understand the why behind participants’ feelings.

Ask Opinion questions allow participants respond in their own words to an open end question before voting anonymously on other participants’ responses. Our AI works in the background to instantly share the most agreed-upon responses allowing you as the researcher to quickly see ideas that are rising to the top. Branching question operate the same, except you can break participants into groups and send targeted Ask Opinion questions.

We have excellent templates within our platform that would provide a wonderful starting point for your Discussion Guide. As an example, you might want to ask questions like the following after sharing your concept:

  • [Poll] What did you think of this idea? (Love it, Like it, Dislike it, Hate it)
  • [Branch Ask]
    • (Love it, Like it) Tell me more, what do you like about this concept?
    • (Dislike it, Hate it) Tell me more, what didn’t you like about this concept?

Analyze Live

As you are moderating your Conversation, you can effortlessly analyze responses in real time using our machine learning-powered metrics.

  • Percent Agree: Pulls to the top the most highly agreed upon responses in Ask Opinion and Branching questions
  • Common Topics: Identifies key words and phrases that are showing up most frequently in Ask Opinion responses

We recommend reviewing these metrics throughout the Conversation to see what sentiment towards these concepts you see.

Ask Follow Up Questions in the Moment

During the Live Remesh Conversation, ask follow up questions to elicit more depth from participants where it is needed and better understand their thoughts and feelings about the topic. It’s easy to edit and add questions as you moderate your Conversation, and you can quickly see what ideas are surfacing. Use our AutoSend feature to put your moderation in autopilot, will allow you to make the most of your time with your participants and surface ideas quickly.
