Convert and Reopen provide two different options for extending your Conversations and continuing to collect data.

Convert

After a Live Conversation has ended, you can convert it into a Flex to continue gathering data asynchronously. Accommodate both Live participants and those needing flexibility, or meet recruitment goals by inviting additional participants if targets weren’t met

Reopen

For 24 hours following a Flex Conversation ending, you now have the option to reopen your Flex Conversation and continue collecting data! Reopen accidentally ended conversations or meet recruitment goals that weren’t achieved in the initial Flex window.

Timing Can be utilized any time after a Live Conversation has ended. Available for 24 hours after a Flex Conversation has ended. After 24 hours, the Flex can no longer be reopened.
Action Converts your ended Live Conversation into a Flex. Following confirmation, the Conversation will convert to an unpublished Flex Conversation. You can then make any necessary changes and edits before publishing. Reopens a Flex Conversation that has ended and immediately makes the Conversation available to collect responses. Following confirmation, the end date will be set to 24 hours in the future and participants will immediately be able to access the link and answer questions.
Participant Experience Participants will access the same link after converting, but will complete the questions at their own pace in a Flex Conversation Participants access the same link after reopening, and the experience will be the same as participants before the reopen.
Billing Counts as two Conversations and will appear as such on your Activity Dashboard. If you have a per conversation participant cap as part of your subscription, this will be counted towards the total number of participants that accessed the original Flex and the Reopened Flex. Counts as one Conversation and will appear as such on your Activity Dashboard. If you have a per conversation participant cap as part of your subscription, this will be counted towards the total number of participants that accessed the original Flex and the Reopened Flex.
Analysis All data will be housed in one Conversation.
When to Use

• You want to capture a larger audience, particularly in Employee Research. Providing an opportunity for the dynamic feeling of a Live Conversation as a well as the accessibility of a Flex Conversation.
• You ended a Live Conversation, then realized you’d like additional responses from a particular group or demographic

• You accidentally ended your Flex Conversation early.
• You ended your Flex Conversation, then realized you’d like additional responses from a particular group or demographic.

How to use Convert

Once your Live Conversation has ended, simply right click on the dashboard and select Convert to Flex, then confirm. You can then edit details before publishing. Read more about this process here!

How to use Reopen

Once your Flex Conversation has ended, simply right click on the dashboard and select Reopen, then confirm. Your Conversation will then be open with an end date set for 24 hours in the future.

  • If I missed the 24 hours Reopen window for my Flex Conversation, is there a way to reopen it? No, once 24 hours have passed the Conversation is no longer able to be reopened. As an alternative, you can duplicate the Flex Conversation, send the new link to participants, then merge the data from these.
